Vivian Tso, DDS, is a talented general dentist treating patients at Smile Now® Dental in Tacoma, Arlington, and Spanaway, Washington.
Dr. Tso was born and raised in Taiwan until the age of 14 when her family moved to the United States. Fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English, she is excellent at communicating with her patients about dental treatments and procedures. Dr. Tso also has a distinctive talent for treating children and counseling their parents about their dental care.
Dr. Tso has an extensive educational background that spans across multiple countries. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Washington in Seattle in 2011 before moving to New York to pursue her Doctor of Dental Science degree at New York University College of Dentistry. After graduating, she completed a residency in general dentistry at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Queens, New York. Then, she moved to her home country of Taiwan for an internship at Taipei City Hospital — Heping Fuyon Branch in Taipei City, Taiwan.
During her residency and internship, Dr. Tso performed a wide variety of dental procedures including impacted tooth extractions and implant placements. She even became Invisalign® certified through the NYU College of Dentistry. Today, she is actively affiliated with the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Washington State Dental Association, and the Seattle King County Dental Society.
When she isn’t at Smile Now Dental providing treatments and assessments, Dr. Tso enjoys volunteering her time helping her peers and other members of her community. She is very outgoing and optimistic and was named “most likely to see the bright side in a zombie apocalypse” during dental school.
